Katrina Geiersbach

CO-PRESIDENT
Katrina is a Junior from Chicago studying Government and Economics. On campus, Katrina is involved in the Crimson Key Society, Women in Business, and was previously a Harvard-Radcliffe Varsity Heavyweight Women’s Crew team member. Now, she enjoys playing club pickleball and leading Dunster House to victories in Intramural sports! Katrina’s coursework at Harvard, particularly Economics 50 (Using Big Data to Solve Societal Problems) and Government 1759 (Behavioral Insights and Public Policy: Nudging for Good), has fueled her interest in behavioral economics. She is fascinated by the interplay of human behavior and economic decision-making. Through internships and research, Katrina has been exploring its application to pressing business and public policy issues, including in the healthcare and climate change/natural disaster areas. Last summer, Katrina was a Harvard Mindich Public Service Fellow at Boston Children’s Hospital where she provided strategic recommendations on healthcare initiatives as a Digital Strategy Intern for its Innovation and Digital Health Accelerator. She is excited to continue strategy consulting as an Associate Consultant Intern at Bain & Company this summer. Her favorite behavioral economics-related books are Freakonomics by Stephen J. Dubner and Steven Levitt and Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman. In BSG, Katrina has been a Consultant, a Case Team Leader, and is currently the Co-President. In her free time, you may find Katrina surfing or kayaking, trekking through our national parks, or serving yummy drinks as a barista at Harvard’s campus cafes.
